My life in @’s and #’s

When we moved to Mexico, almost a year ago, I envisioned running around barefoot, exploring hidden jungles, discovering new beaches, and finding special spots to call my own. I also envisioned carrying my GoPro and my iPhone around with me and documenting my new treasures. Well, I’m not sure where I got off track, I think it’s a four letter word spelled W-O-R-K, but I didn’t just get off track, I got derailed!

I’m currently up against a huge deadline at work, a huge conference with close to 1000 people, and it’s funny that with so much preparation for this conference, literally the last two weeks without a breath, that now is when I find time to write to you.

Actually, I’m not surprised. You see, when little things get you off track in life, we seem to ignore those more. Maybe they will go away. Maybe they won’t affect me – that much. Maybe I can pull things back together. These are the small non-truths that we tell ourselves. But something big, like finding yourself completely derailed? Well, that makes you sit up and open your eyes and see what’s going on. At that point you can’t ignore it anymore, you have to make changes.

So, I’m derailed. And my eyes are wide open.

Time to remember what I set out to do a year ago. To document this awesome opportunity that I have, living in Mexico, and to share it with you.
